The golf world reacted positively when they saw Brooks Koepka and his family on the range. Their presence at the Royal Troon would have surely helped the golfer dish out a proper performance, as can be seen by his T11 placement after round 1. But while all is said and done, many in the community can’t help but wonder: Is it okay for the LIV Golf Pro’s son to be out during the major at the course?

On Thursday, the golfers came face-to-face with winds blowing in from the south and the southeast at a speed of 10–15 mph. However, as per the reports, the Friday round is expected to start with overcast skies with a 10% probability of drizzle and temperature between 59F to 66F. This makes it risky for not just Brooks Koepka’s son but for every spectator and golfer to be out on the iconic course.

Crew’s condition, meanwhile, is different from that of the other spectators. Being a 1-year-old on a windy course in harsh conditions will have its own disadvantages. And Jena Sims will have to be especially careful of the same. Moreover, the wind speed also predicted to be around 11–14 mph, may cause a bit of discomfort if Koepka Jr. isn’t protected and clothed properly.

That’s not all. Brooks Koepka’s son also sports a protective gear of sorts on his head to help position the head properly. This was done because of torticollis, a condition where the neck becomes stiff, causing the very action of turning the head to be hard or painful. Consequently, the couple decided to use helmet therapy to help their son do the same. Well, the harsh conditions might cause a bit of discomfort or stiffness in the neck, leading to the possibility of a slight risk factor.

The 5-time major champ’s baby boy had a premature birth, owing to which he suffered a bit of complications. This led to Crew being shifted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a total of 20 days after his birth. On the 20th day, Brooks Koepka’s son was discharged from the hospital. Now, fast forward to the present and the baby boy is able to enjoy spending time with his family, as can be seen from the recent outing he had with his mother.
