Earlier this year, an interesting switch in the gear of the LIV golfer, Bryson DeChambeau was unmasked by the golf world. Instead of his usual club, the golf icon was sporting a TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus driver which was the new edition in his set of clubs. Astonishingly, not much light was shed on the details of the equipment by the company or the golfer, at that time.

However, on Saturday, during the press meet, the question featuring DeChambeau’s change of club was again raised. Not so surprisingly, this time again, the golfer’s response was a hush-hush one. When the reporter informed the ‘Scientist’ that he had earlier revealed about using a new driver, the athlete said, “Yeah, I plead the Fifth.

The sentence immediately drew out a laugh from the interviewer, however, it did not prevent her from probing the golfer further. Eventually, the 2020 US Open winner revealed tidbits regarding the same. He mentioned that it is a great driver and has won a bunch of long-drive championships.

The LIV golfer also divulged that the driver is probably the best he has ever had in the past five years of his career. Although, at this point in his disclosure he let out an awkward chuckle and reiterated that he is going to plead fifth and not talk too much about it. This time, the questioner did not investigate any further.

Although, DeChambeau did conclude his information with “It’s fantastic for anyone that’s over 175 ball speed“. And that was how the golf enthusiasts got a chunk of insight into the upgraded golf gear of the 29-year-old who has been quite dominant on the Greenbrier golf course.

The presiding position of DeChambeau on the leaderboard promises his first LIV Golf win

The 1-time major winner, Bryson DeChambeau, had a rough first LIV Golf Greenbrier round with 2 under par and a double bogey on the third hole. However, in came Day 2, and out went the athlete’s worries. He dominated the day with a bogey-free 9 under par which was a commendable feat in itself.

Additionally, he executed 9 birdies perfectly on American soil which helped him to take the T3 position along with Richard Bland and Talor Gooch. After his disappointing second-place finish in Spain last month, the golf icon will now aim to not repeat those mistakes again.

As it appears, currently, DeChambeau is just a shot behind the leaders of the board. A perfect implementation of skills and the golfer might overthrow them to claim his first LIV title. However, no one knows how things might unfold today in the final round. But, both the golfer and his fans will be hoping to inscribe Bryson DeChambeau’s name on the victor’s list, given the caliber the professional holds.
