It is quite a rampant scenario to witness golfers being involved in philanthropic activities. From providing guidance to promising youth to holding charity events, the golf world never seems shy about hosting people in need. One consistently prominent name in the spectrum of supporting others remains the 2017 Masters winner, Sergio Garcia.
Though, in this journey of lending service to the underserved, he has a rather strong companion alongside himself. It is his wife, Angela Garcia, who contributes relentlessly to all their organization’s events. Hence, even their latest initiative in 2023 has the couple putting in countless efforts. Witnessing all the striving, a fellow LIV Defector could hardly hold back from praising the worthy cause undertaken by the two.

Sergio Garcia’s admirably charitable character is displayed best through his organization, Fore Kids ATX, set up for the service of the Austin community and at-risk youth. In a recent Instagram post of the establishment, fellow LIV golfer Ian Poulter can be seen admiring the work done by Garcia and his wife, Angela Garcia.
The video captioned, “A message from former @forekids_atx attendee and @livgolf_league golfer, @ianjamespoulter,” entailed him thanking the couple for all their concern and dedication toward helping out people in need.
The clip started with Poulter introducing himself, followed by him calling ATX “an incredible charity”. He mentioned how both Sergio and Angela Garcia are doing “an amazing job”.

Ending his appreciation, he appealed to the audience to come out and “help support an incredible cause”. The charity fundraiser for the year 2023 will take place on December 1st and 2nd, the details of which will be revealed in the near future, per their social media account. The video of Poulter appreciating Sergio Garcia was also re-shared by the golfer on his Instagram story.
Last year, the two-day event was held on November 11th and 12th, receiving an incredible amount of support all over. While this was the first time for the Garcias to hold a fundraising event, their charitable ways go far beyond this organization.
The congruous philanthropic side of Garcia’s persona
For the past few weeks, the golf world has gotten an insight into Sergio Garcia’s funny side thanks to the imaginary wizarding hat he has put on in different settings. Now, while this fragment of his personality was a surprise for many, his altruistic spirit wasn’t. Since soaring in the golf dynamics, Garcia has time and again tried his best to give back to the community as well.

This includes his 2016-established Sergio and Angela Garcia Foundation, which helps young children improve their golfing skills. Apart from this, the Fireballs GC captain has ardently helped his dad, Victor Garcia, build a golf academy that ensures optimum athletic training is provided to children between the ages of 13 and 18.

In addition to this, Garcia and his wife have time and again contributed millions to the medical care of children in foster homes. This also included last year’s ForeKidsATX fundraiser. These works of the Spanish golfer and his life partner are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the contribution they have tried to make to the community in general and golf in particular.
