LIV Golf is now officially a huge competitor of the PGA Tour. The new Saudi-backed league was once nothing more than a collection of rumors. But due to the mastermind behind the league, Greg Norman, all of it has been possible. And he is the happiest person when it comes to the success of LIV Golf.
Norman recently shared a picture of himself along with one of the many bipartisan lawmakers he met. In the caption below his picture, Norman wrote, “Thank you for the opportunity to visit and tell (LIV Golf’s) story.” The LIV CEO also talked about how the existence of LIV Golf is a symbol of freedom of speech and free enterprise. He said it is what the country is founded on.

Norman also talked about how competition is an essential part of the development of any nation, including the United States. According to him, “Competition breeds excellence. Without competition, there is no capitalism.”

Are Norman’s LIV Golf players participating in the 2022 Presidents Cup?
The PGA Tour suspended the memberships of every player who turned their backs to the tour and walked toward LIV Golf. And ever since, none of the LIV Golf players have been allowed to participate in any PGA Tour events. However, as an exception, LIV golfers were permitted to play in the BMW PGA Championship due to the involvement of the DP World Tour. But it is not the same with the Presidents Cup.

No LIV Golf players were allowed to appear for the Presidents Cup this year, and even the fans supported this decision to a huge extent.
