Bryson DeChambeau, golf’s ‘scientist,’ is well known for his unique golf techniques. He follows the manual, ‘The Golfing Machine’ by Homer Kelley, written in the 1960s. The famous ‘one-plane swing’ was the product of the same manual. However, the LIV defector follows instructions and uses his significant physics knowledge to improve his swings. Another book that played an essential role in his great swings is ‘Vector Putting: The Art and Science of Reading Greens and Computing Break.’

We never thought that anyone other than DeChambeau could be so precise about the swings. However, to his surprise, Chris Pratt, the son-in-Law of famous bodybuilder and Hollywood star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, also knows the techniques. Pratt, known for his role as ‘Star-Lord’ in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has a keen interest in playing golf. However, not being a full-time golfer, yet having knowledge about the swings and putt, Pratt shocked DeChambeau on the golf course once, but there was something more. Let’s find out what happened.

Why was Bryson DeChambeau shocked?

Former PGA member, DeChambeau, is quite active on YouTube and often posts golf-related content. He posted a video with the Chris Pratt two months ago. The LIV defector spent ‘A Day On The Course With Chris Pratt’ where he was shocked to see a unique putter belonging to Pratt. “Oh my gosh, what a putter,” said the eight-times PGA tour winner after looking at the putter. “It looks a little bit like a medieval weapon,” said Pratt, explaining how good the putter was.

While the Parks and Recreation fame, Pratt, was explaining to him about the bunkers, putt, and ballparks, DeChambeau saw the putter in his hand of and was amazed by it. However, Pratt was happy to own such a unique putter, which was visible on the camera. Proudly, he started explaining about the putter. It was a putter called an ace in one. The putter’s unique property shocked the 2022 US Open winner. They machined the whole thing out of one piece of aluminum. However, the putter worked well in hands of the actor. 

Even DeChambeau did not own such a putter. However, the putter was not the only highlight of the day. Pratt’s knowledge taken from the handbook of the pro golfer was the cherry on top the cake. “It’s called vector pointing; it is, yeah, that’s 24 feet. If this were an average of a two-degree slope, then that would be 24 inches up the hill that I would aim.” Pratt’s knowledge impressed the LIV golfer.

What putter did DeChambeau use?

One of the finest golfers on LIV Golf, Bryson DeChambeau, uses a SIK Pro C-Series Arm-lock putter. Yes, it is not like Pratt’s putter; however, it has some unique qualities. It was an infrequent model to be seen on the PGA when he was part of the tour. This putter allows the pro to putt in his unique way.
