For outsiders, golf can only be associated with hitting balls with sticks. But it’s definitely much more than that. With different gears and techniques, golf is one of those sports that needs vast spaces. Yes, in order for players to compete professionally in tournaments, every golf course must be impeccable enough to accommodate golf’s intricate rules, and for that, a golf cart is necessary.

Many people use golf as a way to unwind from their daily lives. For that, too, golf buggies are important. However, in this American town, the golf cart has become a crucial component of daily life, as the locals flood the street with them!

One of the most essential components of golf is the golf cart. Many golfers like to ride in carts to get from one hole to another since the courses are large and open. They can also be utilized for grand entries, as John Daly demonstrated at the 2023 Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. For others, one golf ride can become a headache.

However, Peachtree City in Georgia is one of the most golf cart-friendly municipalities in the country. According to the reports, 9,300 golf carts are registered in 13,000 households. After a golf course opened nearby in the middle of the 1960s, using the golf carts on the town’s multi-use paths quickly gained popularity because it was more convenient.

Additionally, there are very few public transit options in the city, and bus stops are very far away. Golf carts have consequently become a crucial component of daily life. A golf cart can be registered for three years for just $15 by Peachtree residents.

The best part is that these carts cost just $13,000 for a 4-seater and $16,000 for a 6-seater—a third of the cost of a new car. The city also provides golf buggy owners with their own parking space.

Joe Zabel, a golf aficionado, regrettably suffered a severe injury and ended up disabled in one incident. He is currently in a wheelchair. But his passion for golf hasn’t changed. After his accident, he had been looking for parks that had some facilities for him to play, but there weren’t any.

Finally, though, he came across the SoloRider handicap golf cart on social media. The cart alone cost $16,ooo. The cart is now accessible at the Bell Nob Golf Course thanks to funds provided by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.

Nowadays, whenever Zabel wants to take a swing, he uses the cart that has been specifically outfitted. “I hope it gets used enough where I would have to call ahead and tell them to hold it for me,” Zabel said enthusiastically, hoping more like him would indulge in the game!
