The games at the maiden tourney Grant Thornton Invitational have been pretty intense. Players have been raking the greens in a neck-to-neck competition and landing themselves at the T4 position after Day 2 play. The pair Lexi Thompson and Rickie Fowler have turned heads with their comeback performance.
However, it doesn’t end there. The golfers’ style statement has been another showstopper at the event. Both players are working with Puma and have been seen wearing matching game outfits on the greens. After the second day performance, Thompson claimed a color after playfully picking on Fowler’s iconic fashion choices.

At the post-game press conference, Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson were asked about their matching outfits on the greens. Taking the question first, Fowler revealed that the coordination was somewhat spontaneous, with their Puma representative suggesting the idea.
The golfer added, “It won’t be the same tomorrow…We didn’t necessarily talk about it, but we’re obviously both with Puma Cobra and our rep there at Puma —,” and Thompson chimed in, “Planned it out for us.”
The players acknowledged that tomorrow’s outfits would not be the same, anticipating a slight clash in colors. Thompson mentioned her preference for orange and joked about finding an orange pin to coordinate with Fowler’s outfit. Fowler said, “We had the same color the first two days. Tomorrow, we’ll be clashing a little bit,” and to that, Thompson added, “Yeah. I’ll find an orange pin or something.”
