Megan Khang's energy is infectious! Is she the spark Team U.S. needs for their revenge tour?

The Solheim Cup countdown has started, and it is only four days away! As excitement for the cup grows among fans, the pros are not leaving any stone unturned either. Team USA has reached their team rooms at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club and is preparing for one of the greatest acts of revenge in Solheim Cup history. Last year, Europe retained the cup as the game ended in a 14-14 tie. This year, the cup is on American soil, and the 12 women won’t let it slip away from their hands that easily.

As the players tighten their practice, there is also a little time for fun. LPGA Tour pro Emma Talley shared a behind-the-scenes video of Team USA’s room with the one and only Megan Khang. The area is vast, as Khang showed it around. The team has a good selection of wine and beer too. They also have little cubbies to decorate. Khang showed her side, with a little board that had “Shine, Be the Moment” written on it. The 1-time LPGA Tour winner shared that her parents probably did it because her middle name means “sun,” and it was likely her family’s idea. She sarcastically noted, “My dad is creative, to say the least.”

After playing a short game of table tennis and cheering for the New England Patriots to win their next game, Khang gave Talley a tour of the huge entertainment area made for Team USA. And that’s where the fun started. With a huge projector screen, the lounge also had a karaoke setup. Talley and Khang sang “Party in the U.S.A.” at the top of their lungs, and as the latter noted, it might “annoy a lot of teammates.”

In the end, not many were probably annoyed by Khang’s singing, but that was all she shared from Team USA’s back rooms and how they enjoyed their time off the course. Seeing Khang having fun also excited the fans as they cheered for their favorite pro and wished her the best for the weekend.

The teams at the Solheim Cup never usually have a mascot like the Chicago Bulls Benny the Bull or the Phillie Phanatic for MLB’s Philadelphia Phillies, but it might be time for both Americans and Europeans to have one because one fan is ready to step up. Since the team room looked so entertaining, they wanted to be a part of it, asking, “Can I come and just be a mascot? This looks fun! Let’s go girls!”

Have an interesting take?

While Megan Khang has not been winning as much on the LPGA Tour, her party game is spot on, and so is her putting. Although Khang has not been draining the balls much better and is ranked 150th in average putts per round, this user still appreciated her skills. They said, “Megan I got to envy your putting skills. sooooo good! GO USA!”

This year, Team USA has appointed Dunning Golf once again for their 2024 Solheim Cup outfits. Although the team disclosed what they would wear on the course, the off-the-course apparel was shown only in the video. Khang wore an orange t-shirt that had the Solheim Cup trophy and “unfinished business” stamped on it. It probably meant that the Americans were eagerly waiting to lift the cup, but the shirt caught the fans’ eyes. One enthusiastically said, “Love your shirt!” while another requested it be made available for sale, pleading, “I want one of those shirts.”

Remember the 2023 Ryder Cup when Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay were criticized immensely? Well, Schauffele’s father, Stefan Schauffele, had told The Times that both players wanted to be compensated to play in the Ryder Cup. This was also linked to the “hatgate,” which was regarded as a protest from Cantlay’s side. Thus, this fan took a dig at both pros and alluded that they would not have done the video without a lucrative return. They said, “Xander and Cantlay would’ve needed $20k for that video.”

The Solheim Cup may work out in favor of the Americans, and they will actually party in the team room. Or, for the fourth time in a row, the Europeans may bag the trophy and defeat Team USA. Who do you think will win? Share it in the comments.
