The 2924 Solheim Cup is less than a week away. All the players have begun their preparations to fly to Virginia for the event. Charley Hull, who became the youngest player to be a part of Team Europe back in 2013, will be making her seventh consecutive appearance at the biennial event. But before entering the competition, she decided to enjoy a weekend with her strongest pillar of support.
Charley Hull recently took to her official Instagram account and shared a series of pictures a few hours ago. She was seen enjoying the weekend outdoors with her sister. The two were first seen engaging in rounds of shooting with their coaches around, followed by pictures on the golf course.
Charley Hull was not just seen sitting on the golf cart but also swinging her clubs, probably to check her form before heading to the team practice at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville. She even captioned the post, “Sporting weekend with my sister”.

While Charley Hull intended to show a fun side of her life off the course, the golf community seemed to be worried about her swing. With such an important event coming up, Hull might need close attention, as stated by fans.
Golf community left impressed by Charley Hull’s swing
Charley Hull has been on the winning team in four of her six appearances and holds an impressive record of 12-7-3, having earned a total of 13.5 points since her debut. However, this year will be a greater challenge for her. Ahead of the Women’s Open at St. Andrews last month, Hull confessed to having degenerative arthritis in her shoulder.

This was followed by a shoulder injury after slipping at the Aramco Team Series. Despite that, she suggested that she was all set to go. Nonetheless, as fans watched her video of shooting during the weekend, they were convinced that the injury still persists. They left comments like, “Shooting, perhaps not the best after suffering with shoulder injury?????”
Another suggested that holding the heavy gun might harm her shoulder so badly that she might risk not being able to play golf as well, which is something she does professionally. Trying to bring her back to reality, a concerned fan wrote, “Charley, please don’t mess up your shoulder shooting skeet, I know it’s fun, but you gotta make a living.”

Another simply reminded her that she had to put her best foot forward for Team Europe so that they could retain the trophy for three consecutive years. To this, they simply wrote, “Don’t forget the Solheim Cup! ⛳”
However, not all fans were scrutinizing her form and fun side. Some even complimented her form with both the gun and the club. Charley Hull boasts a driving accuracy of 70.07% on the golfing greens and is ranked 77th on the list among all other LPGA Tour players. While her rank might not be the best, she is pretty much above average with her swing. One fan suggested that she is as good with guns as she is with golf clubs, writing, “Lethal accuracy with irons wedges and guns 😍”.
Every golfer has a weapon that helps them put their best foot forward on the course. For some, it’s their putter, for others, their driver, and for some, it might be wedges. However, just like golfing legend John Daly, Charley Hull’s weapon is not a club but a cigarette. She is often seen taking a puff on the course, whether at a women’s major or any LPGA Tour event, except, of course, for the Olympics, which have specific rules preventing it.

Smoking and hitting bombs have indeed made her a cult hero. One fan, completely impressed with her shooting and her aura on the course, wrote, “Dang, I love you. You smoke and shoot guns.”
