Phil Mickelson has been on the news for the past couple of weeks for different reasons. Since the six-time major winner joined the LIV Tour, he has been receiving a lot of backlash. Mickelson has gotten a lot of reactions for essentially ‘betraying’ and making such a big decision of giving up on the PGA.

Lefty is currently playing in the 150th Open after a statement that allowed LIV players to participate if qualified. But reporters are not ready to give up on asking controversial questions. The former PGA golfer was recently at the 150th Open Press Conference where he got fed up hearing repeated questions from a reporter.

What was the reporter asking Mickelson? And what got him all heated up at the Press Conference?

Phil Mickelson almost loses his cool with a reporter

A reporter at the 150th Open Press Conference decided to ask the golfer why he wasn’t a part of the Champion’s dinner earlier during the week. Mickelson answered patiently that R&A had contacted him sayingwe don’t think it’s a great idea you go, but if you want to, you can.” The player decided not to go since he didn’t want to make a ‘big deal’ about it.

It all got out of hand when the reporter continued to ask him about the same thing for the third time. Before the reporter could finish asking, Mickelson said, “Let it go, dude. Let it go. That’s three times you’ve asked the same question. I don’t know what to tell you. I couldn’t be happier.”
