The Australian major, the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship, has returned once more. Co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour, the Royal Queensland Golf Club in Brisbane is hosting the event, and many notable golfers are gracing the field of the championship. Among them is none other than the Australian star Min Woo Lee.

Lee won his career’s third win in the 2023 season on the Asian Tour, and now that he’s back at home to try and grab his fourth win, he’s undoubtedly one of the fan favorites. This fact is further reinforced by what happened on the course on Thursday after round one, for it involved a certain die-hard fan and Lee’s famous “cook” saying!

After the first round this week, Lee stands solo second on the leaderboard. He made one bogey at the par-4 14, however, and offset that minutes later with a birdie at the 15th. The Aussie star ended the round 7 under 64 and was more than pleased with his performance. However, his fans were just as excited.

Of all the fans who witnessed Lee’s stunning first round, one in particular would have been more thrilled, for from what he wore, he’s arguably the Australian star’s biggest fan. The golf enthusiast had donned a white tee-shirt, which displayed Lee’s face on it in a chef’s hat, with the words, “Woozy’s Cooking School.”

On the back, Lee’s famous catchphrase, “Let him cook,” was printed in red. The tee-shirt also hilariously claimed the fan to be part of a class of 2023. Impressed with the work, the Aussie pro even lauded it as the “right shirt” before he took a photo with the fan and signed his golf balls and the tee shirt itself!

The PGA Tour of Australasia posted the interaction of Lee with his fans on their Instagram. The video captioned “Shut up and take our money” was more than apt for the creativity of the fan and immediately went viral, attracting attention from all around the golf world!

The golf world salutes the creativity of the fan’s tee

It seems that the Woozy School is indeed famous among Lee fans. One fan wrote, “You know the drill … Here from woozy’s cooking school 👩🏼‍🍳 🔥” and many others joined in giving their ‘attendance’ to the class!

While the t-shirt was good in itself, this fan suggested that the fan make it more golf-like. “Turn it into a polo. I’d wear it every round.”

The creator himself, seeing all the responses to his tee and how everyone seemed to love it, commented on the reel and wrote, “@pgatouraus I really should have made more to sell 😂”.

The creativity of this fan was commendable, as one called the move “brilliant.”

Lee, known for his great striking strength, too found tons of praise in the comments, as fans called him “Beast Aussie” and flooded the post with “legend” chants.

The cooking trend with Lee has been going on for a while, and his fans often turn to the famous line when he’s around, just like at the DP World Tour Championship, where the 25-year-old finished T15. It seems like wherever he goes, it will follow. However, whether he can cook up his fourth win this week in front of his home crowd remains to be seen!
