He was beaten by fellow Australian Cam Davis in a sudden-death playoff at the U.S. Open qualifier held in Springfield. However, a last-minute call-up, owing to Grayson Murray’s tragic passing, ensured Adam Scott’s spot in the field at the 2024 U.S. Open. And it appears the golfer is planning to make full use of his unexpected chance to clinch a win at the event, by making a slight change in his equipment!

The pro has finished a total of four times in the top 20 this year, with his best coming off the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at T7. One of the reasons all of those were possible was because of the kind of clubs that Scott was able to rely on. However, it is one of those same pieces of equipment that has seen a change ahead of the major, due to which the 44-year-old will be sporting a new Titleist driver.

The 1-time major champ had been heavily dependent on the TaylorMade Qi10 driver lofted at 10.5° for a while now. The club was attached to the Fujikura Ventus Blue 6 TX shaft and cost $599.99. Now, Scott has reportedly welcomed the new Titleist GT2 driver to his bag that was introduced to the golf world last week at Muirfield Village.

The Aussie, meanwhile, turns to a mini driver instead of a 3-wood when it comes to his fairway woods. He uses the TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver with a 13.5° loft for the same. The equipment, marked at $449.99, is coupled with a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 7 TX shaft and boasts a Movable Weight Technology making it ideal for athletes who want more accuracy.

When it comes to his 5-woods and 7-woods, Scott uses a TaylorMade Qi10 5-wood at 18° and a TaylorMade Stealth 7-wood at 21°. The former is attached to a Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 9 X shaft and costs $349.99, while the latter is coupled to a Graphite Design Tour AD DI Black 9 X shaft and is marked at $249.98.

The 14-time PGA Tour champ depends on a combination of Srixon equipment when choosing his irons. He uses the Srixon ZX Mk II for his 3-irons, the Srixon ZX5 Mk II for his 4-irons, the Srixon ZX7 MK II for his 5-irons, and the Srixon Z-Forged II for the rest of his irons (6–9). The set of clubs costs a total of $1199.99.

What wedges and putters does Scott turn to?

If Adam Scott is only set on changing his driver for the upcoming event while keeping the rest intact, then he will turn to the Titleist Vokey Design SM10 (50°-12F, 54°-08M) and a WedgeWorks (LW) for his wedges. The two are combined with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 (50° and 54°) and S400 (LW) shafts, respectively, with the former being worth $189.99.

The 11-time DP World Tour turns to the L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Proto putter, marked at $449.99, to hole his Titleist Pro V1 golf balls. The spheroids, worth $54.99, have been the primary choice of many golfers, including world No. 1s Scottie Scheffler and Nelly Korda.

Although the athlete has made the required changes for the upcoming major championship, one can only wait and watch as he tees it off against a talented group of golfers. His fans will surely be hoping for him to come out glorious.
