Did you know about the brother and sister duo who are etching their names in history? Min Woo Lee and Minjee Lee are two Australian professionals who became the first siblings to win the USGA’s junior championships. But the story, which began with an impressive performance and praises, is now on the opposite side for the PGA Tour professional.
Min Woo Lee, who turned professional in 2019, is still trying to reach the level of his sister. But with the fans and his social media presence, he has been considered the ‘Social Media Guy.’ The Australian professional is fairly popular on TikTok, with 600,000+ followers, and 630,000 on Instagram. However, that popularity has become a curse for him.
In the recently released Full Swing season 3, the golfer was seen sharing frustration and reality about the fans’ perspective. In Episode 5, Woo Lee’s fellow was sharing an online comment on the pro, which said, “Lee is a head case, Lots of talent, but his focus is lacking. Who cares? He’s a TikTok golfer. Average on tour, at best.” The 26-year-old has faced the backlash because of his active presence on social media and a comparatively less effective presence at the course. He has had 4 professional wins but is still looking out for his maiden at the PGA Tour.

After the comment was shared with him, his girlfriend, Gracie Drennan, joined in, asking about the comment. But the disappointed reply of the golfer covered the conversation. He said, “Who knows? It’s sh-t.” Continuing in the episode, the voiceover of Woo Lee shared how people think of him as a social media guy, and it makes him mad. The golfer has had a great start in 2025, with T17 at the Pebble Beach, T12 at the Phoenix Open, and 48th at the Genesis Invitational. He even recorded two runner-up finishes in 2024 and a T22 finish at the Olympics. Despite that, the comments dishearten the golfer.

Gracie also shared how the pressure could help him advance his career. Even Woo Lee shared how the harsh talks could affect the game, but he stays away from it. “It kind of makes me mad. You can get dragged into it and it can hurt your feelings, but I try not to let that affect me as much,” he said.
Drennan shared how his sister has performed and how he looks up to her. She said, “Minjee has accomplished so much, and Min really looks up to her for that success as well.” Even so, Woo Lee also adds, “I think that’s good to try to live up to her standards, but I’m not quite there yet. So hopefully in the future, I can.” With just a few years of difference between the siblings, there is still a lot to cover for the PGA Tour professional. Minjee Lee has 10 professional wins, including two majors, whereas Min Woo Lee has four so far, out of which three came from the DP World Tour.
However, away from the criticism and mocking from the golf enthusiasts, the golfer has started his journey towards the glory.

Min Woo Lee’s performance in 2025
After the season, with some close finishes and victory, the golfer has found his motivation from the criticism. With the new season, he seems charged up to have a great, eventful schedule. Until now, the golfer has participated in three events in the PGA Tour. Out of the three participations, he was positioned at T17 at the Pebble Beach, T12 at the Phoenix Open, and 48th at the Genesis Invitational.
However, with the majority of finishes in the top 20, the upcoming performance might just observe an upward shift as Min Woo Lee shared his optimistic approach after the record-setting performance at the tech-infused league. Recently, the Chef helped the team win over Jupiter Links with a 5-4 score.
The golfer achieved a ball speed of 192 miles per hour on the tee shot, which placed him in second position with 186.89 miles per hour after Potgieter (190.79 average). Even the chef was in the “Let him Cook” mood as he shared, “Probably hit one of the best shots of my life from that rough, so that’s quite cool. Hopefully, I can do that on the course this week.”

Well, after the optimistic statement, the golfer seems to have found his comeback path with his performance at the Cognizant Classic. After scoring 71 in the first round, he redeemed himself with rounds of 65 and 68. However, there is still a 5 stroke lead to cover to clinch the title and move above the criticism.
