In today’s world, social media has become a source of news itself. Popular micro-blogging platforms retain the planet’s most famous names, with the celebrities themselves making an approach to divulge about their daily life online. But these endeavors often have their own set of troubles, as LPGA golfer, Charley Hull recently discovered.

Charley Hull makes an amusing mistake on social media

Like any other person in the golf community, the 27-year-old golfer is undoubtedly anticipating the start of the Masters Tournament. In her build-up to the week, Hull decided to flaunt her blonde hair through her Instagram account, but something went amiss.

In her story, Hull uploaded a brief clip displaying her hair through a mirror reflection. She wrote alongside it, “All my martial hair woohoo it’s growing,” which didn’t make any sense.

Later on, she posted another story that clarified her earlier mistake. “It was meant to say natural hair lol,” she mentioned in her story.

How has Hull fared on the LPGA Tour this season?

Once declared the next big thing in women’s golf, Hull has made slow progress in her career over the years. But she made a bright start to the season in 2023, with a second-place finish at the season-opening HGV Tournament of Champions.

However, her results since have been unsteady. While she managed a joint-seventh-place finish at the Drive On Championship, she failed to trouble the higher echelons in her other two appearances.

The two-time PGA Tour winner was expected of greater things after a fast start to her career. After turning professional in 2013, Hull reeled off five consecutive second-place finishes on the Ladies European Tour, with one of them coming in a playoff loss. But she made quite the impression across Europe, which allowed Hull to become the youngest person selected to play at the Solheim Cup.

She was part of the victorious 2013 Solheim Cup side, which became the first instance of a European team winning on U.S. soil in the women’s game. She went on to claim her first professional title the following year, alongside being awarded the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit, the youngest ever to win one.
