The Masters is probably the most prestigious tournament in professional golf. And every golfer dreams of winning this event at the iconic Augusta National at least once in their career. However, a few golfers have won this event multiple times in their careers.

There are around 54 different players who have earned a green jacket since its inaugural edition in 1934. There have been 85 editions of this event, and there are only 54 unique winners, which shows very few people have managed to master the Augusta National golf course.

Bobby Jones was one of the most prominent names who started this event at Augusta National in 1934. However, initially, this event was called as Augusta National Invitational. But Robert, the co-founder, decided to change the name of the event to Masters in 1939. Hence, since 1940, this event is well-known as the Masters around the world.

Who has the most wins at the Masters?

Among the 54 players, Jack Nicklaus holds the record for most wins in this prestigious tournament. He has won the Masters six times in his golfing career. He won this event in 1963, 1965, 1966, 1972, 1975, and 1986.
