Tiger Woods is widely known for his golf skills across the globe. But more than that, the 15-time major winner is loved for his humble nature and his down-to-earth attitude. But as they say, sometimes being too good can cost you your peace. A similar event happened with Woods when a fan decided to toss a hot dog toward the former champion.

A fan hurls a hot dog at Tiger Woods
It instantly hit the news when PGA star Tiger Woods was attacked with a hot dog by a random spectator at CordeValle. It was Woods’ first event in seven weeks.

After the controversy of his divorce went viral, Woods received tons of criticism from fans, including the occasional heckle or having a whole plane go by with a triggering message pointed at him.

Woods described the incident from his perspective. He said, “When I looked up, the hot dog was already in the air,…” “The bun was kind of disintegrating.” Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship and has not played on the field ever since. There were several questions about whether he would be able to get back to his best form. However, it looked like his game improved a lot when he played at CordeValle.

Woods’ hot dog incident steals the spotlight.
Rod Pampling, an Australian professional golfer, was also present on the field. He said, “It was bizarre,…” This guy comes running out with a hot dog in his hand, and then he lays down and puts his hands behind his back. “

Woods said that the man did not scare him at all as he never got close to the golfer. He said he heard some movement from the security behind him, and when he looked up, the man had already launched the hot dog. “I guess he wanted to be in the news,” Woods said. After the game, head of security Dan Diggins said that the man would surely be arrested for “everything” he did. He called the man an “idiot” and said things “could have been really bad.”

Although the man tried to come in the way of Woods’ game, there were more reasons as well. Woods’ leg injury didn’t allow him to perform quite as well as he once did. But he still managed to play 10 full rounds after the Masters.
