Daly has been dealing with an underlying cancer situation for a very long time. And despite facing numerous hardships due to the health disaster, Daly knows how to find the positive side to everything. In an interview in 2020, the golf star said, “The only positive is this cancer is treatable, but I’m probably looking at chemo for the next five to seven years…The first chemo kicked my b**t. I’m just praying maybe they got it.” It was six weeks after his bladder cancer was diagnosed.
Dealing with cancer might be the biggest physical setback Daly has ever faced. But it was surely not the only one! The golfer withdrew from Sanford International due to immense pain in his knee. Informing his fans about the pain, Daly tweeted, “I know the fans knew I was in pain. Looking like surgery on my left knee.” The golfer even had to undergo surgery back in 2007 when he fractured two ribs and separated his shoulder at the Honda Classic.
