The PGA Tour 2025 season has taken a toll on many players. While some top pros have the luxury to pick and choose which tournament they want to play in, others are trying to get as much course-time as possible. So fans can’t really compare Rory McIlroy‘s schedule, who has chosen to reduce the number of PGA Tour events he will play this year, to that of Min Woo Lee. Lee has been juggling around with weekly PGA Tour events along with his commitment towards Tiger Woods‘s TGL.

So it didn’t come as a surprise when Min Woo Lee missed the cut with a heartbreaking 7-over par 151. The Australian had 3 bogeys, 4 double bogeys, and a triple bogey in the first 36 holes. Lee was obviously disappointed with his performance. And he didn’t back down from sharing the same with his fans. The 26-year-old uploaded a picture which shows him driving the ball off the fairway. He also included a short caption that read “tough week on the course. Bayhill kicked my a**. We move onto next week @theplayers 🤝”.

It’s evident that Min Woo Lee was disappointed with his performance. However, Monday Q Info put another twist to it in their latest tweet. They posted Semi-serious take. The extra travel, swings, time, etc that TGL takes for guys might not be great for their games. I know some were struggling before but these are some pretty ugly golf from some really good players.”, on X. The tweet also included a snapshot from the bottom of the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational leaderboard. It showed a list of 7 TGL players who missed the cut to the event. Other than Min Woo Lee, the list included Sahith Theegala, Max Homa, Billy Horschel, Cameron Young, Nick Dunlap, and Tom Kim.

Tiger Woods’s TGL players on a great run at the Arnold Palmer Invitational

The first couple of rounds of the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational are done. So far, fans have seen Shane Lowry dominate the course with his incredible putting. The Irishman managed a 5-under par 67 to go -8 after the end of round two. The Bay Golf Club player has a 2 stroke lead against his TGL teammate, Wyndham Clark. Ludvig Aberg didn’t have a great start as he has only managed to get 1-under par 143 after two rounds. It’s worth noting that all of them are Min Woo Lee’s teammates in TGl.

Xander Schauffele, who just returned from an injury, has also managed to make the cut in the Signature event. Tommy Fleetwood, Lucas Glover, Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Justin Rose, and Patrick Cantlay are also thriving at Bay Hill Golf Course. So are Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas and Adam Scott.

Tiger Woods himself might not be playing the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational. But his co-owner, Rory McIlroy is also ranked high on the leaderboard. After two rounds, the Irishman has managed a 4-under par 140 to end at T5 going into the weekend. This clearly shows that TGL, despite turning their schedule hectic, is not to be blamed for the failures of the PGA Tour pros. There is a large number of players who are finding success despite dealing with the same tedious routine.
