After Jon Rahm’s LIV Golf move, debates in the golfing silo have seen a massive upward trend. Many young and veteran golfers have taken to their SNS to post about the deflection, and, to say the least, the points have caused quite havoc. Where there have been PGAT stars questioning the player and the motive for the move, many have also been questioning the LIV League for what it offers.
The conversations have been ongoing. In recent times, Fred Couples has made an outlandish “My A**” statement about the monetary involvement in the move. Now, jumping into the conversation pool, Greg Norman Jr. has added some fuel to the fire with some sarcastic remarks and a bitter reminder of the past.

Recently, in a candid interview on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio, veteran Fred Couples didn’t mince words when expressing his doubts about the motivations behind players joining LIV Golf. Couples, known for his straightforward opinions, questioned the authenticity of players’ endorsements of LIV Golf’s product and highlighted the substantial financial incentives as the primary driving force.
He specifically called out the trend of players attributing greatness to LIV Golf based on lucrative deals, challenging them to be transparent about their wants and look for money. Referencing Rahm’s recent move to LIV Golf, he talked about the need for honesty among players, urging the next golfing superstar to openly acknowledge the financial allure rather than paint a rosy picture of the league’s appeal.
A day after the statement, Greg Norman Jr. has made it clear that the LIV side isn’t taking these shots lying down. Taking to Twitter, the baby shark quoted the tweet and brought back an old predicament in defense, writing, “He is just still bitter we kicked his ass in the 2008 ADT Skills Challenge. 😎”
