The Presidents Cup hype is real. Just two weeks after the excitement of the Solheim Cup, golf fans are being treated to another thrilling team tournament. While the Solheim Cup showcased some dominant golf from the Americans, it also delivered some incredibly funny moments.
Kevin Kisner was reminded of one of those moments by journalists, who asked if his deal with Max Homa to recreate it still stands if Homa hoops one. Kisner responded, “I hope it’s later in the week because, if I had to take my shirt off today, it would be pretty brutal out there. But yeah, I’m all in for that.” We now know that this isn’t just a joke—shirts will be coming off if Homa holes out at any point this week. To Kisner’s credit, that’s extremely sporting of him.

The viral moment from the Solheim Cup occurred when Megan Khang and Alison Lee’s caddies took their shirts off after Lee holed out from her second shot. It was later revealed that their caddies had made a bet that if one of them holed out, they would remove their shirts. And to the delight of golf fans everywhere, that’s exactly what happened.
The deal between Kisner and Homa was born when Homa, an active presence on social media, responded to a post about the Solheim Cup moment, excitedly tweeting, “Tarps off!!! Let’s go @SolheimCupUSA”. Kevin Kisner replied, “I’ll do this in Montreal if you hoop one! Book it!”

The other captain’s assistants are Stewart Cink and Justin Leonard. Cink, an eight-time PGA Tour winner, has played in the Cup four times and boasts a solid record of 9-7-2. Leonard, also a Cup veteran, holds a record of 8-11-4, having competed in the tournament five times.
Kisner will be hoping to see Max Homa hole out in the coming days, especially after the criticism Homa has received for being selected. Whether or not fans are eagerly anticipating seeing another shirtless celebration on the golf course remains to be seen!
