Has Keegan Bradley lost the motivation to beat Team Europe in the 2025 Ryder Cup now? Bradley was more excited than ever, coming off a great win in the 2024 Presidents Cup. They beat the International Team a few weeks after he was named the Team US captain for the Ryder Cup. And still in high spirits, Bradley claimed that his team will “Kick Their F**king A**” as directed towards Rory McIlroy & the rest of the Team USA.
But Bradley seems to have calmed down since then, and his statement about their rivals has changed. During the pre-tournament press conference for the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Team US captain said, “I mean, maybe. I don’t think the Europeans need any more motivation to win the Ryder Cup. They’re a special group of players and the Ryder Cup means a lot to them. And when the Ryder Cup year and when the Ryder Cup comes along, they really seem to come together and play their best golf. So I think that they’re motivated enough to beat us.”
Reading what Bradley said, it seems that he is backing Team Europe more than leading Team US. But his sudden change in stance is understandable considering he was quite aggressive about his team’s intent for the Ryder Cup. But what might seem like a motivational speech for his fellow American pros may be perceived as insulting by their rivals. Nonetheless, what happens behind closed doors in the heat of the moment might not be taken as seriously as on course antics. And the 2025 Ryder Cup will be filled with a lot more drama.

Speaking about the leaked footage for the Netflix series Full Swing, Bradley himself admitted that it was supposed to remain in closed doors. He said, “Well, I certainly thought I was in the locker room. But, you know, in the world that we live in I got to be more aware of that there’s always somebody filming. Again, I meant no disrespect, but we were excited. I had just won, I had just won the Presidents Cup that I hadn’t played in 10 years, it was an exciting moment for me”. Seems like he was not expecting a video of his interaction with the team to get out in public. But he admitted that it occurred because of the win at the Presidents Cup.

Keegan Bradley’s Team US vs Luke Donald’s Team Europe
Keegan Bradley already has three players confirmed, Xander Schauffele, Scottie Scheffler, and Bryson DeChambeau. The trio captured all the majors in 2024 and have been dominating the course ever since the beginning of last year. Other than them, fans might also see Collin Morikawa as a part of the conversation. The Californian has been incredibly consistent despite not winning a title. He is definitely a strong player for any team to have.

At the other end, Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, Ludvig Aberg, and Rasmus Hojgaard have also almost booked their tickets. Shane Lowry is also a top candidate to make it to the top 6. Other than them, Donald also has an easy captain’s pick in the form of Jon Rahm. Alternatively, Viktor Hovland and Sergio Garcia can also be great candidates for Team Europe.
