Everyone knows how amazingly a lucky charm can work for some athletes. Take Tiger Woods, for example. The golfer has a trusty companion who’s been with him throughout his golfing journey—Frank, the driver’s headcover! One would think about how a headcover can impact a golfer’s game. Well, it can! And 2025 Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley is a perfect example.

Bradley won the 2024 BMW Championship with a score of 12-under after beating out the top contenders by one shot. This victory was very special, as he clinched a hard-earned win after 427 days of resilience. After this, the golfer was obviously on cloud nine. In the joyful moment, he shared a photo of his 2018 BMW Championship trophy with his son’s favorite stuffed animal, Pudda, placed inside on X.

He revealed that his family had put Pudda in the trophy as a good-luck charm.“This win is special for so many reasons, & I love that my family did this as a good luck charm on the 2018 BMW trophy. That’s “pudda” – my 7-year-old’s favorite stuffed animal,” the golfer wrote in the caption.

Bradley shot an even-par 72 on Sunday to secure the $3.6 million from the $20 million purse. He finished one shot ahead of Adam Scott, Sam Burns, and Ludvig Åberg. The photo of Pudda in the trophy was a heartwarming moment, which showcased the importance of family and tradition in Bradley’s life. “Family means everything & I can’t thank all the fans enough for the support this week. See you in ATL!”, the caption continued.

This year has been an exception for Bradley, to say the least. He was announced as the captain of the American squad for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage, and he is also the vice-captain for this year’s Presidents Cup. After taking the crown at the second event in the FedEx Cup Playoff, the golfer is set to perform at the Tour Championship in Atlanta, and the fans couldn’t be more excited. The top 30 players from the BMW Championship have qualified for the 2024 TOUR Championship. The pack is obviously led by Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler has made history as the first player to hold the No. 1 spot in the FedExCup for a third consecutive season. Xander Schauffele is hot on his heels as he enters the last tournament of the FedEx Cup Playoffs at No. 2, following impressive finishes in the first two playoff events.
