Tiger Woods‘ TGL has started signing players for its 4-player team roster. The first player to be signed is the 2-time PGA Championship winner Justin Thomas. Atlanta Drive GC by AMB Sports and Entertainment has welcomed the 15-time PGA Tour winner as their first team member. Among the five confirmed teams, Atlanta Drive is the first to sign a player.

Amid the celebration of Halloween, Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas have surely brought about fantastic news for golf enthusiasts. There are 24 players on the roster of TGL and one team is pending to be confirmed. The high-tech and advanced league will start on January 9th, 2024 at the custom-made SoFi arena where players will tee it up in a head-to-head team format. You can enjoy it on ESPN and ESPN+.

The other four teams, TGL New York, TGL San Francisco, Boston Common Golf, and Los Angeles GC, are yet to announce their 4 man roster. Moreover, Boston Common Golf, owned by the Fenway Group Sports, has recently revealed its new logo and colors for the team. The team has honored the iconic Boston Common Park situated at the center of the city and adopted a bullfrog with a golf ball on his chest as the new logo. However, the sixth has not been confirmed by TMRW Sports, Woods, and Rory McIlroy’s venture behind the development of the new league.

The 24 players on the rosters include Patrick Cantlay, Jon Rahm, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Max Homa, Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, Rickie Fowler and more. The players together boast 224 PGA Tour victories and 32 major wins. You will not find a fascinating portfolio of players in any other league. The league will have 15 season matches followed by semifinals and finals.

The teams play two hours of each match and the fun part is all players will be miked up. The tech-infused league has garnered investments from Serena Williams, Alexis Ohanian, and sister Venus Williams (LAGC), Steven A. Cohen company Cohen Private Venture bought TGL New York, and TGL San Francisco owned by Avenue Capital Group. The last team awaits confirmation from the league.
