Justin Thomas was a part of the winning team at the Ryder Cup last weekend. He had a great run and finished with a respectable score of 2-1-1. In celebration, he recently appeared at ‘Call Him Papi’ a podcast hosted by David Oritz and Jared Carrabis. Oritz is a former professional baseball player, while Carrabis is a baseball journalist.
After great conversations about his relationships with fellow golfers and his experiences on the Ryder Cup, the 28-year-old was asked to name his top 3 favorite golfers in terms of play. Let’s see what he said.

Tiger Woods unquestionably bags the first spot on the list
Tiger Woods; the first name on the list. Thomas didn’t have to spare much thought into choosing this man. In clarification, he asked, “Is Tiger included or excluded?” When he received an affirmative reply, he said, “Alright, I’ll throw Tiger in there.” Tiger is widely considered as the greatest golfer ever, with 15 major and 82 PGA Tour titles to his name and therefore it came as no surprise that Thomas said his name.
Second on Thomas’ list is world number 1, Jon Rahm. He says that the Spaniard is ‘insanely impressive’ in everything that he does. And well, he isn’t labeled as the best golfer in the world for no reason. With his consistent play, he always dominates the field.

Finally, the last spot on the list was bagged by Dustin Johnson. Thomas was all praise for the American, with whom he spent the last week at Whistling Straits. He said, “DJ is really really impressive too. His control with his irons, his wedge game, he can get his putting going, drives it so well.”
David Ortiz also chipped into the conversation and revealed that he loves Johnson’s body language. In agreement, Thomas said, “Yeah, oh yeah… And he’s a good person to watch. I’ve watched videos of him before and it’s a situation where it looks like he should be kinda going up and down or he should be getting upset. But, he just stays very even and it think that’s the reason, apart from the fact that he’s freakishly talented.”
None of the names on Thomas’ list were surprising. And for only 3 spots, we reckon the obvious names made onto it. What are your thoughts on it?
