Why is Justin Thomas excited about the Ryder Cup?
After Steve Stricker, Zach Johnson has been chosen as the Ryder Cup captain. Not only will he have to win two in a row, but also win on European soil. Looking at the previous Ryder Cups, it’s been a hot minute since the team USA won in Europe.
According to his recent interview, Thomas is extremely confident in his ability to win. “Zach is the perfect choice to lead the US Team in Italy in 2023. I’m going to do whatever it takes to be a part of that team and make sure we keep the cup on US soil,” Thomas said.
Thomas’ words raise hope for another cup for the USA, and maybe some great few months for Thomas as well. With three top 10 finishes already in 2022, one can say that Thomas might be taking his own challenge seriously.

On his end, if he is selected, Thomas will play his third Ryder Cup. He went 4-1-0 at the 2018 Ryder Cup, and 2-1-1 in 2021. If he does play in Italy, one can only hope for the best from Thomas.
