The Country Club in Massachusetts will host the 2022 US Open. The course is very close to the Titletown Boston. One of Red Sox’s biggest fan will also be competing in the Major this week. The fan is none other than the 2022 PGA Championship winner Thomas himself.
Thomas looks ready to compete in the US Open in Brookline. During the press conference, Thomas was asked several questions related to the LIV Golf and about his mindset before the US Open. He was also asked about his love for the teams based in Boston.

Thomas has displayed his affection for the Red Sox publicly for several years. He had the opportunity to throw the first pitch of the game in 2018 for The Sox at the Fenway Park.
The reporter asked Thomas how he fell in love with Boston-based teams early in his life. He replied, ?Well, it’s more I like the Red Sox. So my uncle is from up this area, and he’s a big Red Sox fan, and it just was kind of something that it was no birthday or Christmas gift that was for me from him was anything but Red Sox.?

Thomas? love for Red Sox was adopted from his uncle. He also said he had lots of Red Sox tee shirts, jerseys, hats, and even blankets. The David Ortiz jersey was Thomas? first Red Sox jersey. He also had a Nomar jersey, a Manny jersey, and even a Varitek jersey.

Thomas further provided details on his first introduction to the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry. Thomas, who was only 9 years old at the time, had the opportunity to see the two teams face each other at the Yankees Stadium.
Thomas was wearing?Nomar Garciaparra?s Red Sox jersey. He immediately received a hostile welcome into the stands. He said,??I remember because I had my Nomar jersey on, and I was getting yelled at and cussed at and given the finger and I was 9-years-old. That was my first introduction to the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry.?
