Golf and golfers like to help. The events have a philanthropic side, and so do golfers. Many of them have their foundations aimed at making society better. Tiger Woods is not only known for his 82 PGA Tour wins but also for the TGR Foundation. With this, he aims t empower students to pursue their passions through education. TGR Foundation is not the only one with a motto in mind. His younger brother, Justin Thomas also has one, that he set back in 2019.
Justin Thomas Foundation’s main goal is to positively impact children in need, junior golf, and military families, and help all achieve their full potential. While helping children and junior golfers makes sense, what piqued his interest in military families? The interest in the military was inspired by some of the men and women in uniform JT has met over the years. Their experiences, time away from family, and willingness to sacrifice their lives for our freedom have truly made an impact on the golfer. Recently, Thomas shared a post on his Instagram sharing some happy news about his foundation.
“I’m thrilled to announce that the Justin Thomas Foundation was able to raise 1.6 million dollars for the @bgckyana at our event this past September.” Thanks to this, the golfer not only won the community hero award but also celebrated with his fellow pros like Collin Morikawa, Billy Horschel, and Jessica Korda, as they liked his post. He also shared that these funds are going to be used to build the Justin Thomas Mobile Learning Center, which will allow young people to focus on STEM, workforce development, and financial literacy. He shared that this idea has been there for years, so obviously, it going to be a dream come true project.

Last year, Tiger Woods also shared a heartfelt message, thanking them for the work his team at TGR Foundation is doing. “I’m proud of the work my @tgrfound is doing to help kids chase after their dreams through our TGR Learning Labs and national education programs. Thank you to everyone who supports our work and makes the impact possible,” he wrote.

The generosity isn’t limited to only Tiger Woods or Justin Thomas; Justin Rose is also walking down a similar path. Rose, with his wife Kate, has the Kate and Justin Rose Foundation. With that, they not only provide the children in need with education and proper nutrition but also conduct two events each year to provide the children with new life experiences.
As this update from Justin Thomas went viral, fans showered the golfer with their love.
Fans love Justin Thomas’s “Class act”
$1.6 million is indeed a significant amount, nearly matching the winner’s payout of the Valspar Championship. Yet, the golfer didn’t hesitate to donate it for a good cause, and fans praised the gesture with comments like, “1.6! That’s awesome, brother.” Not just fans, but Morgan Pressel also appreciated JT and said, “Congrats! Amazing work.” Former PGA Tour player John Mallinger also chipped in with his comment, saying, “Good stuff. ”

The vice president of Resource Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana, Rubin Nieto, also sent a heartfelt message as he said, “It is an honor to serve BGCK! Your generosity and passion to help young people succeed are unmatched. We will protect the name and honor your wishes. Let’s go change some lives!!” Jani Thomas, Justin’s mother, mentioned in a video on their website that he is deeply sensitive to others and always treats people with kindness. Nieto’s comments certainly confirm that she was right.
Simple appreciative comments like “Class act JT,” and “Thank You JT👏👏” are enough to explain how meaningful this gesture from the golfer is for those in need.
Interestingly, Tiger Woods also received similar words of appreciation last year from Cyndi Court, CEO of TGR Foundation. She said, “I think Tiger’s stats are as impressive off the course as they are on the course.”
