Recently, Justin Thomas missed the cut at the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge. However, he had won the 2022 PGA Championship, the second major championship of the year, the previous week. Hence, despite missing the cut this week, he celebrated in style after reaching his home in Florida.

Justin did not visit his house after winning the PGA Championship. He left for home early as he struggled to keep up with the field this week. Justin missed the cut by a substantial margin as he carded +3 in two rounds. Therefore, as soon as he reached his home, the 2022 PGA Championship winner made a post on Instagram where we can see him celebrating his victory.
JT wrote, “Cheers to an eventful 3-weeks on the road. Might have ended with an MC, but hey, at least I still get to bring this home.” Furthermore, he posed with the Wanamaker trophy that he won last week and posted this image on Instagram.

Without a doubt, Justin Thomas needs a round of applause for his commitment. After winning the major championship last week, he could have withdrawn from the event. However, since JT had already committed, he decided to compete in this event. Therefore, even though he has missed the cut this week, Justin has earned plenty of respect for this gesture.
Justin Thomas trailed by seven strokes going into the final day
There was no talk about Justin Thomas winning the 2022 PGA Championship on the final day. Before the round began, it was all about Will Zalatoris, and Mito Pereira. Mito had a lead of seven strokes over Justin, who played incredible golf on the final day. JT scored -5 for the event, while Mito fell back to -4 after 72 holes.

However, Zalatoris remained at -5, which forced a playoff between him and JT. Therefore, Justin used all his experience and won the playoffs, while the young Will missed the trophy by a small margin.

Meanwhile, this was Justin’s second major championship victory. Interestingly, his first win was also the PGA Championship in 2017. So going forward, he will most probably take a break of at least a week or two before coming back for the 2022 U.S. Open in June.
