Rory McIlroy shocked the golf world after he stepped down from the PGA Policy Board recently. For someone who is recognized as a PGA Tour loyalist, this was a big step. The resignation of McIlroy was announced by PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan in a memo to the tour players. After his unexpected exit, Rory’s prime focus this week will be the DP World Tour Championship 2023.
This weekend, the DP World Tour will be wrapping up its season-long run in Dubai at The Earth Course at the Jumeirah Golf Estates. The players have already assembled and the match will begin on Thursday, November 16. But before that, the players are blowing off the steam of the tough competition at the Greg Norman-designed golf venue.

After his big announcement from the PGA, McIlroy will be participating in the DP World Tour event, which has lured big names. It is not just the amazing $10.5 million prize that is at stake. Being a limited-field event, only the Top 50 players of the Race to Dubai are playing in it. A prestigious event indeed.
After the final round on Sunday, November 19, the Top 8 golfers will be eligible for the Race to Dubai Bonus Pool of $6 million. Out of this prize, Rory McIlroy has already been granted $2 million, as he has topped the Race to Dubai without playing much. The remaining $4 million will be distributed among the Top 8. It is evident that with so much to fight for, the players are under a lot of pressure.
But they are not letting it stop them from having fun. A video surfaced on X from the Jumeirah, where 27 DP World Tour players are very efficiently juggling a golf ball on their clubs from one to the other in a long line. In the end, the last player swings the ball far into the distance, and the entire squad erupts into joy and goes for a group hug.
The PGA Tour can’t do this because they all hate each other.
And they’d want paid. pic.twitter.com/YhuQeoKq7r

In the caption, Bunkered editor wrote, “The PGA Tour can’t do this because they all hate each other. And they’d want to be paid.” This gave the fans a chance to make fun of the drama that unfolded at the Ryder Cup by some players for compensation.
Golf community was impressed with DPWT’s skills
Rivalry may exist between both tours, but both comprise excellent players. The players’ amazing balancing skills were a great opportunity for them to reveal that they could manage any tough situation in the game and the fans agreed.
For one user, this little game before the main tournament was a cool watch.

One user seized the opportunity to take an indirect jab at Patrick Cantlay and his little show of not wearing the hat during the Ryder Cup.
So not true… It can be appreciated that there is also ONE player not wearing a hat 🤣👌

Another fan also took a shot at Cantlay who turned many heads scrutinising him in Rome.
And even if they did, some wouldn’t wear a hat in protest 🙄

For one fan, the entire game was a lot of pressure rather than picturing it as fun.
They see that as fun I see that’s as pressure. 😬

This user was just too blown by how all the players effectively managed to carry the ball on their clubs without dropping it.
Wow just wow

‘Awesome’ is the correct term to define the little fun game.
