Tiger Woods makes fans go mad over heels

The 47-year-old professional took the golf world by storm with his latest announcement. Woods, the tournament host for next week’s Genesis Invitational at Riviera Golf Club, will not only host but also participate in the event. It is his first PGA Tour start since the 2019 ZOZO Championship in Japan. The American professional provided the delightful update with a tweet from his official Twitter account on February 11, 2023.

Not to forget, various rumors about Tiger teeing it up at the event were circulating throughout the golf world. However, his unusual Friday confirmation means the fans can watch probably one of the greatest players of all time grinding again on the PGA Tour next week. The 15-time major championship winner will be playing his first event since the 2022 PNC Championship at Ritz Carlton Golf Club, in December.

Woods’ last Tour event summary

The 82-time PGA Tour winner made his last official Tour start at the 2019 ZOZO Championship. It was coincidently his 82nd Tour win as well, which helped him to equal Sam Snead’s record. Tiger ended the event with an overall score of 19 under par. As a result, he won the event with a comfortable three-shot lead on Sunday in Japan. He carded a final round of three-under-par, 67 to finish on the top of the leaderboard.
