Golf is a very fashionable sport. We often see professionals wearing polos with crisp trousers. However, Justin Thomas had a different idea at the Valspar Championship. The one-time major championship winner wore rather unorthodox pants in the third round of the event.

Golf fans react to Justin Thomas’ fashion choice

The sport of golf has undergone various changes over time. One of these changes is related to clothing. Moreover, professionals nowadays do not stand back from wearing crisp or striking colors. But also have found new ways to dress up. This was proved by Justin’s fashion choice in the third round of the Valspar Championship.

Justin was seen wearing an all-black outfit in his round on Saturday. However, it was his golf pants that caught everyone’s eyes. He was swearing tight ankle golf pants, which we often see Erik Van Royen wearing on the course.

Golf fans or Justin’s fans all over the globe did not really appreciated his fashion sense. Twitter exploded with reactions relating to Thomas’ tight ankled pants. Some of the reactions were really funny and even said that only Van Royen can pull off these pants. However, some of them even backed him for his bold fashion sense.

Maybe JT is taking his inspiration from the Tour veteran, Ian Poulter, who is famous for wearing checkered pants with vibrant colors. However, this is not the only time he is wearing bold clothing. Back at the 2022 Genesis Invitational, he was wearing vibrant win or purple-colored pants.

What did Justin shoot in the third round?

On the business end, the black color seemed to put Copperhead course on fire. Thomas carded a firey round of five-under-par, 66 in the third round on Saturday. He made two birdies and one bogey on the front nine, as result, making a turn in one-under-par, 35. Thomas made four more birdies on the back nine. He ended the third round with an overall score of 15-under-par. As a result, just three shots back from the leader at third position.
