The PIF-PGA-DP World Tour merger was committed in utmost secrecy, the announcement of which left the players in utter amazement and shock. Moreover, the continued secrecy on the matter maintained by the authorities irked the players so much that they broke out into rebellion against Jay Monahan.

And it has been weeks since PGA Tour players were demanding more inclusion of players and transparency on the matter without any response. But things finally cooled down this week. On Monday Tiger Woods and the other 41 players sent a letter to Monahan, which demanded their inclusion in the future matters of the Tour.

This is the biggest step taken by the players towards the league. In the statement released, the Tour said, “ The Player Directors will have full transparency and the authority to approve or to decline to approve any potential changes to the Tour as part of the Framework Agreement discussions,”
