Tiger Woods has served us with a great performance after a 844 days sabbatical for the PGA Tour. He finished 1 under par at the Genesis Invitational. Moreover, this has been considered his best performance since his unfortunate accident. As a result, he has been nominated by the Laureus World Sports Awards for the ‘Comeback of the Year’ award. But he has some strong competition in Francesco Bagnaia.
In the final round of the 2022 MotoGP season, Bagnaia secured his first championship title by overcoming a 91-point deficit from reigning champion Fabio Quartararo. Despite crashing five times, Bagnaia achieved the biggest turnaround in MotoGP history.
Meanwhile, Woods started his first round at the event with his playing partners Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas. He closed the round with 3- straight birdies. The 15-time major champion’s unexpected performance with his persistent injuries left fans in awe.

The audience perceived the gesture to be demeaning to women and especially to female athletes. The golf great’s performance at the tournament was particularly notable given the challenges he has faced in the past two years. However, he showed no signs of rust, shooting his lowest single-round score since the accident – a 67 on Saturday – en route to finishing one-under-par for the tournament.
