Are you prepared for a historic clash in the golf industry? Last week, the inaugural Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL) match finally got underway. Fortunately for Woods and McIlroy, TGL’s year-late debut was met with a largely positive reception and went off without any technical issues or any misunderstandings over the rules and unusual format.
Given that Woods is scheduled to make his debut this week, TGL’s stakeholders will be subtly optimistic about expanding on that success and introducing the sport to the prospective viewers it desires.
The matchup between Jupiter Links Golf Club and Los Angeles Golf Club at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is highly anticipated by fans due to its elite players, distinctive course designs, and exciting format. Let’s look into the holes that the teams will play in their upcoming showdown!

Which holes will Jupiter Links vs. Los Angeles play in TGL Match 2?
In partnership with TGL and Full Swing, Beau Welling Design, Nicklaus Design, and Pizá Golf built a bank of 30 uniquely designed holes, of which 15 are virtual holes for each TGL fixture. The elimination of practical constraints on golf course design, such as financial constraints, environmental concerns, obtaining planning approvals, and land availability, is an intriguing aspect of TGL. The 15-hole virtual course won’t change from Matchday 1.

According to the official website, a couple of extra holes have been added for Match 2. Among these is “Temple” a 500-yard par-4 course with a simple, ancient civilization-inspired design. The next hole is “Fallen Pine” a 240-yard par-3 that can be played anywhere from 130 to 240 yards. Depending on the wind and hole position, different clubs and shot shapes are needed. The 448-yard Par 4 “Hatchet” comes next, which has a steep elevation change that descends the fairway vertically. As the game goes on, players will come across “Navigator” a 606-yard par-5 that serves as a lighthouse to guide players down the hole. Next up is “Pin Oak” a 636-yard par-5 that requires precision. The sister hole of Serpent, the “Sidewinder” is a 622-yard par-5 that presents teams with a more lenient opponent.
A 310-yard blind tee shot and a leap of faith are needed to reach the green in two at the halfway point of “Bonnie Link” a 650-yard par 5. The 609-yard Par 5 “Hang Loose” comes next, and it challenges teams to think about how much risk they can take. In the later stages, teams are given two alternatives right off the tee: “Hang Low” a 488-yard Par 4, and “Flex” a 528-yard Par 4 set on an active volcano. Additionally, we have “Loot On The Line” a 391-yard Par 4 that is the Par 5 sibling. Teams are encouraged to test the narrow space between the beach and the middle fairway bunkers by Pick Yer Plunder and “Riptide” a 609-yard par 5. Finally, there is “Sterling” a 571-yard par-5 sword-shaped hole in Scotland that uses geometric shapes to create a distinctive design, and “Pinery” a 601-yard par-5. A well-placed tee shot will provide the best possibilities for the second shot on this long par-5.
The official website states that more holes might be added to this list in the future. But for a lot of fans, knowing the holes isn’t enough; the important question is who will win. Let’s review this!

Los Angeles vs. Jupiter Links: team statistics and forecasts
According to the 2024 PGA TOUR season’s statistics, Jupiter leads the field in par 3 birdie or better rate at 14.7%, the highest among TGL teams, suggesting their potential to take advantage of shorter holes, while Los Angeles Golf Club, which features players like Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala, and Justin Rose, has the best record overall for fairway accuracy at 65.7%.
The fact that New York entered the match as slightly favored before losing to The Bay, 9–2 on Matchday 1 shows how hard it will be to forecast outcomes in golf’s “sim world” until the season is a little more established. Los Angeles is rated as the 4/7 favorite to take the title, but the bookies are a little more daring with this one.

The outcome of this tightly contested match is difficult to predict. The aggressive playstyle of Jupiter Links might be used to take advantage of the course’s risk-reward profile, while Los Angeles Golf Club’s strategic conservatism might reduce mistakes and keep scores consistent. Ultimately, the match can depend on crucial moments on the trickier holes, where poise and expertise under duress would be essential.
