There is only one round left for the conclusion of the Hero World Challenge, and the golf world has found yet another spectacle to enjoy. Jordan Spieth who made the headlines for hitting his ball in the bushes a while back, has again found himself as the subject of fans’ ridicule.

In the initial hole of round three, before the bushes and its fun, the 30-year-old had nearly putted a different object instead of his ball. The backstory made it to the internet, and the fans had their time reacting to Spieth’s amusing incident on the greens.

In round three at the Hero World Challenge, Jordan Spieth made more than one wonder. With four birdies and three bogeys, Spieth made the headlines for different reasons. The 1x major champion who stands T4 on the leaderboard, hysterically, nearly putted a rock.

According to a video shared by PGA Tour on their official Instagram, a fan narrated the story of him collecting “a unique souvenir” from The Bahamas. Spieth shot his ball into a sand bunker on the first hole of round three. While taking the next shot, he made contact with a rock.

As the fan said, “he chipped this rock,” and since he didn’t have his marker, everyone suggested Spieth use the rock as the marker instead. The golfer did as suggested and later this fan asked for the rock and he gave it to him. The fan got excited to collect something memorable.

On day three, Spieth played from inside of the bushes and sarcastic remarks of “normal” rounds for Spieth made the internet. Now, another story from hole one surfaces on the internet. One fan liked the gesture of the golfer and said, “Jordan! You Rock!

Because of the ‘rock’ being involved, people tried connecting the chipped rock to The Rock as one fan commented saying, “Famous rock”

One of the users was not amused with the interaction between the fan and Spieth and he called it “lame“, while one fellow found it “dumb“.

Another netizen could not find the fun behind the story and he said, “Waste of a Sharpie though,” however, the fan who received the rock was the happiest despite his Sharpie getting wasted.

Lastly, one fan made a funny joke about the rock being sold on the Pawn Shop and commented, “On this episode of Pawn Stars…”.

It seems as if people were already prepared for Jordan Spieth’s various quirky stints at Albany. The golfer is popular for many things, however, his unusual gameplay that introduces unique stories will be the most memorable for golf fans.
