Tiger Woods, who was sidelined since last February, was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame ceremony earlier this year. While it’s an obvious honor to his illustrious career, one cannot look past the massive influence he holds. Being active for over two decades, Woods is the reason countless children and current tour players were inspired to go out and play golf.
PGA Tour star Jordan Spieth was among those icons who grew up with Woods as his inspiration.

Jordan Spieth on how Tiger Woods helped him play golf better

“He made golf exciting and cool and he was the inspiration behind me wanting to go out and work every day to be as best as I can be,” Spieth said. “Not to mention what he’s done for the sport and for professional golf and what he’s done for the PGA Tour.”
Why did Woods become a golfer?
The 28-year-old also mentioned how he feels like thanking Woods when he sees him. However, that is not why Woods himself got into the game. “He got into it because he wanted to be the best he can be at playing golf and he’s about as good as anybody’s ever been,” according to Spieth.
Apart from Spieth, Jessica Korda, Collin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick, Abraham Ancer, Michelle Wie West, Henrik Stenson, Rickie Fowler, and Victor Hovland also shared their stories about Woods.
