Jordan Spieth expressed his excitement about playing with his dad
The PNC Championship is scheduled to be held between December 15-18 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando. The field will be filled with major champions and their loved ones to play alongside. John Daly is back on the field with his son John Daly II to defend his title from the previous year.
However, the golfer has new competition on the course. Jordan Spieth is very excited to play in the event alongside his 60-year-old father, Shawn. The former world no. 1 is making his tournament debut this year. This means the golfer will be able to play a professional tournament with his father for the first time.

Expressing his excitement about the same, Spieth said, “My dad and I are really excited to play in the PNC Championship for the first time. We have been wanting to be a part of it for some time…even though we are taking it seriously it’s really going to be a lot of fun to have him out there.” Luckily for him, Spieth’s schedules allow him to play in the tournament alongside the best golfers and their family members.
Which top players are confirmed to be on the field?
Other than Jordan Spieth and John Daly, there are a few more players who are definitely going to be present for the tournament. Legends including Lee Trevino, Tom Watson, Sir Nick Faldo, David Duval, and Nick Price are all highly expected to return to the field for the event.

Fans are also expecting the Woods’ father-son duo to take the spotlight again this year. After watching Charlie compete at junior tournaments, fans are looking forward to him teaming up with his father Tiger Woods in the event. Annika Sorenstam and Justin Leonard will also be appearing at the 2022 PNC Championship. The two played alongside their fathers last time. While this year, both of them are bringing along their sons to play.
