Jon Rahm’s move to LIV Golf has been one of the biggest stories in the golf world in recent months. The Spanish star reportedly signed a $566 million deal with the breakaway league and is set to lead his new team, League XIII, in the 2024 season that is about to kickoff. However, the 29-year-old has not yet finalized his squad, and there have been rumors and speculations about who might be willing to join him.
One of the names that was widely linked with Rahm’s new team was Wyndham Clark. However, as per the latest update from Flushing It Golf, the ‘talk has fallen through’ as the 30-year-old has decided to stay on the PGA Tour and scheduled play in the 2024 American Express event from January 18–21 after competing in The Sentry.
Clark’s decision to stay on the PGA Tour is a huge blow to Rahm’s team and LIV Golf, who were hoping to add another major champion and a young talent to their roster. However, it also opens up the possibility for other PGA Tour pros to join Legion XIII, and there are a few names that stand out as potential candidates. Here are the top three PGA Tour pros who might make it to the two-time Major winner’s team.

3. Brian Harman
Brian Harman has been on the PGA Tour since 2012. The 36-year-old has never seen anyone criticizing the league. In 2023, he got into a controversy as he took so much time to visualize his shots that NBC Livе had to use a waggle counter to measure his movements. Harman’s lengthy routine surprised many fans who complained about ‘slow play’ in golf. Amid this chaos, a LIV golfer got his back.
Ian Poulter addressed the incident and praised his win at the Open Championship. He posted a tweet in his ‘X’ account saying, “Brian Harman, take a bow. What a class week! For all those that gave him shit from the stands and waggle meters on TV and anyone else undermining his performance. You should be ashamed.”
While praising him, he couldn’t help but take a funny dig at Herman as he said, “Waggle away, Brian.” Not only that, Poulter showed his respect for him, but in return, Harman also spoke in favor of Brooks Koepka after he joined Live Golf.

He outplayed the very best. Now respect him for that. Waggle away Brian 👍🏼👊🏼👏🏼🏆— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) July 24, 2023
In 2023, after Koepka’s stunning performance, there was a lot of chatter about his selection for the Ryder Cup squad. Harman at that time showed support and said, “I think he would be a pretty good addition to the team.” With the back-and-forth support between the players, LIV Golf could try to get him to its side, since he already appears to share a camaraderie with the players.
2. Matt Fitzpatrick
After he shot 68 in the first round of the RBC Canadian Open, he spoke to the media and was asked about the race between the PGA Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. He was asked how loyal Tour players felt about LIV golfers coming back to their original Tours.
He did clarify that he never wanted to join LIV Golf from the beginning, and they never officially approached him. But his statement got attention as he said, “Obviously, for the guys that did turn down significant amounts of money, then that’s probably a tough one to swallow, and I feel for them.” If the Norman-led league offers him something, he might just give it some thought.
1. Max Homa
The 6x PGA Tour is a close friend of Rahm. The Spaniard showed him support when Homa and his wife, Lacey, had their first child. When his newborn son got home for the very first time, Rahm set up a food train for them, and the couple got overwhelmed with his sweet gesture. The couple posted the story on social media and thanked him.

So, the Spaniard might probably invite Homa to join his team since the two are good friends. The 33-year-old could join Rahm’s team without compromising its quality, as he has been very consistent in the past year. Homa will be a great addition, as he is also in the top 10 players in the world, speaking volumes about his form.
