The PGA Tour has been haunted by many issues of late. Although a few issues, like low purse and lack of communication, have been bettered by elevated events and better player-league communication, there is still one issue that remains unresolved: the lack of washrooms at Tour events.

The problem is one that has been iterated by the now-defected Jon Rahm several times in the past; however, as recent events at the Sony Open in Hawaii have highlighted, it persists. And now the urgency pros face during the tournaments and their unexpectedly vulnerable moments are out in the spotlight!

The PGA Tour has had their former player, Jon Rahm, complain about the lack of bathrooms at PGA Tour events many times. The Spaniard even made a not-so-crazy request of the Tour, and as per CNN, “I know this is going to sound very stupid, but as simple as having a freaking porta potty on every hole.”

The 11-time PGA Tour winner has a problem frequenting the loo. At the 2023 Masters as well, Brooks Koepka revealed that Rahm had gone to the bathroom seven times during a round. Resolving the grave issue, the Tour answered Rahm’s prayers in November 2023. They revealed that there will be eight restrooms in the next season at every event. However, at the ongoing Sony Open in Hawaii, it did not seem that there was any bathroom available for one pro.

While Keegan Bradley was calculating his shot from around the greens, a pro was caught in the background. The man with a pink t-shirt and a white cap headed to the nearby tree to urinate. The camera caught his walk and action, and he turned away soon before he began his deed. However, those couple of seconds were enough for everyone to spiral down into a frenzy, especially when one fan shared it on X and said, “Feels like a golfer in the background needed some relief.”

The short clip quickly went around the internet as fans found it amusing. Instantly, it was connected to Rahm’s “simple” request to have more restrooms, raising questions about what exactly the Tour is doing about it.

It is a blessing that the PGA Tour pro could not be identified through the eight-second shot clip from Golf Channel. But the clip did entice many questions directed at the PGA Tour for not delivering on the promise made in November 2023.

After the memo promise in November, the J.T. Poston caddie thanked Rahm for his request, as there will be more restrooms on the course. Since then, more than thirty days have passed, and this fan had to question if the bathroom booths were returned for a full refund.

Another netizen highlighted that this was the issue the Spaniard faced on the Tour, and this is what he was trying to fix at all costs.

Another fan sarcastically stated that as Jon Rahm joined LIV Golf, the PGA Tour didn’t feel much pressure “to increase the porta-potty population.”

One more fan was seen confused as to what happened to the port-a-potties that the PGA Tour had at the event. They wanted to know whether, after Rahm’s defection, all the booths were pulled out.
