Be it LIV Golf or the PGA Tour, Jon Rahm has always been constant when it comes to one thing! Amazing gameplay? Sure! But there were cases when the Spaniard found himself short of his own expectations. Interestingly, this, in turn, resulted in the air turning blue, all thanks to the professional who couldn’t contain his disappointment. Well, now it appears he did the deed again.
The reaction was perhaps expected from Rahm, especially since he was close to improving his figures on the leaderboard. Anyhow, the netizens were not so pleased with what transpired at the ongoing tournament, and suffice it to say, they weren’t very lenient as well.

It was his last hole of the day. Jon Rahm was taking his third shot at the par-5, 1st hole at Trump National Doral. Focusing on the ball, he hit it towards the greens. However, misfortune struck him just then. Surprisingly, the spheroid spun backward and moved away from the hole, which could have been a chance for birdie. “How is that spinning?” was a warranted reaction from the athlete but he soon followed it with a scream as well, “F**K!”

Yes, you heard that right! It was another F-bomb dropped by the current No. 3 golfer in the world. And yes, it’s not the first time. Curiously, Jon Rahm had done it back when he was on the PGA Tour during the Open Championship at Hoylake when he missed a putt at close quarters.
Coming back to the Saudi-backed league, he had also dropped the bomb during his LIV Golf debut at Mayakoba. After his tee shot on the 18th, the defending Masters champion exclaimed in disbelief, “F**k! Get lucky.” However, unfortunately, it fell on the bunker. Now, the netizens didn’t like it back then, and neither did they go easy on Rahm this time around.
An expressive Rahm irks the golf world
The frustrating moment which was caught on camera didn’t go well with the various people in the community. There was a load of comments that came under the tweet as a result, ranging from those pointing out the standards between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf while others outright bashed him.
Jon Rahm seemed to have truly let himself go after learning that LIV Golf would not impose any penalty for profanities used on the course. However, the same cannot be said for the Jay Monahan-led circuit, which saw even top golfers like Justin Thomas pay a fine and undergo some kind of undisclosed sensitivity training after a homophobic slur at the 2021 Sentry Tournament of Champions. Consequently, a follower also pointed out the same as they responded, “Rahm needs to eventually realize that he is no longer with the PGATour. Even if LIV doesn’t have anyone watching on the course, there are still around 100 viewers on CW and streaming online. One of those 100 might be a minor, and he can’t stop cursing.” He wasn’t the only one, as many more reacted with the likes, “LIV – the network broadcasts for young, impressionable children,” and “Don’t worry nothings on the line and you’re still getting paid.” But the cream of the crop came when a user asked him to “Grow up.”

Meanwhile, the next set of attacks came straight at the Greg Norman-led circuit. Although things seem to be looking up in terms of TV viewership for the league, with it raking in more than 4.5 million people for Jeddah, the on-course attendance seems bleak. Users on X couldn’t help but point out the same as they commented: “Good thing no fans around to hear,” and “What crowds they have.”
Huge crowds…LMFAO!

Anyhow, his on-course tantrum couldn’t help but bring in much discontent from the community. Moreover, this not being his first time also led to many responding with comments such as “Is this replay of him at all his LIV events or a new one?” and “Growing the game….” Well, what did you think of the whole incident? Do you think Jon Rahm’s response and the community’s reaction to it were warranted?
