Aaron Rodgers is a quarterback for Green Bay Packers. He won the 2021 NFL MVP award for the second year in a row. The QB also loves to play golf and is an avid golfer himself.

He played nine holes with Jon Rahm before the start of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Rahm also revealed the nervousness Rodgers was feeling.

Aaron Rodgers feels the nerves

The 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open is underway with some of the notable names in the sport teeing it up. Among some of the notable names playing this week is Jon Rahm. However, before the start of the event, the current World Number One played nine holes with Aaron Rodgers.

Both of the players enjoyed each other’s company and Aaron also received a warm welcome at the notorious par-three 16th. Let’s check out what Rahm said about how Rodgers was feeling the nerves during their round.

Rahm spoke to the media after his practice round regarding how Aaron felt nervous during their round. He said, “It’s just funny to see, somebody who is out there, who is MVP. Who is one of the best quarterbacks of all time be that nervous, it’s just really fun”.

He added, “I mean, I don’t know if you saw but that second shot on 18th Jesus Christ. For that good of caliber of player that wedge shot came out like a home run, I mean that thing was, it’s all due to nerves.” Well, sure if you are facing the gallery that comes out at TPC Scottsdale- Stadium Course anyone can get nervous.

Jon Rahm’s round two recap

Rahm carded a modest round of 70, one-under-par in the second round of the WM Phoenix Open. He shot an even-par 35, on the front nine with only one birdie and a single bogey. Back nine also did not produce any fireworks for him. As a result, making two birdies and one bogey, to card one-under-par, 35 on the back nine. He is currently at five-under-par, seven shots off the lead.
