Can this be considered a missed opportunity for Charlie Woods? The 15-year-old has been a major star in the sport ever since his ace at the 2024 PNC Championship. With the name, the fame, and the skills to back it all up, young Woods has attracted a lot of sponsors recently. One of them was Greyson Clothier. However, Charlie didn’t particularly prefer the apparel brand, especially considering his father, Tiger Woods, owns Sun Day Red. Hence, he ended up rejecting the offer made by the $39 million brand. While some might say Greyson lost out on a future superstar, they wasted no time moving forward. Just weeks after parting ways with Woods, the $39 million brand secured a massive win—bringing Jon Rahm into their camp.
It’s not that both the Woods hadn’t tried the brand before. However, after Charlie Woods’s public statement about choosing his father’s brand was released, the company turned its attention to another major star. It seems that the protege to the GOAT indirectly ended up helping LIV Golf and its players just by rejecting a major sponsor deal. Reports suggest that the Legion XIII captain; Jon Rahm has signed a deal with Greyson Clothier as his apparel sponsor this season.

This is not the first brand with which Jon Rahm has recently signed up. Reports of him and his club striking another major deal were circulating not that long ago.
Jon Rahm’s LIV Golf team signs with a major golf equipment brand
A few days ago, Jon Rahm sat down for an interview on the Joe Pomp Show on YouTube. During the podcast, the two discussed a lot of things related to LIV Golf and Rahm’s team, Legion XIII. One of the main topics of discussion was Legion XIII signing a major sponsorship deal with a famous golf brand. The brand in question was Callaway, which is known for designing beautiful and high-quality golf clubs.

Speaking about who deserves the credit for bringing in such a big deal, a modest Rahm said, “It is definitely a team effort. A lot of our relationship with Callaway, I can’t even take credit for.” In fact, the Legion XIII captain had a lot of kind words to share about Phil Mickelson. Rahm said, “It almost all starts with Phil (Mickelson)”. The 30-year-old confessed that by the time he and his manager, Jeff Koski approached Callaway, “the bridge was already” set up by Mickelson. Nonetheless, there is no doubt that Jon Rahm and Legion XIII have been benefitting a lot from their recent associations with top brands.
