Rahm shared an example of what it feels like to play with the six-time Major Champion. He said, “For example, I’m down 17 right, there’s those branches on the left that don’t let me hit my usual high fade drive that I like. So I hit a little low fade and I was just trying to mess with him a little bit.” Rahm then teased Mickelson by saying, “All this was great for you Phil, you got nothing on the right, just hit a high fade and your perfect.”
Jon Rahm took the opportunity to mock Mickelson, who has the practice of tinkering with his clubs. However, Mickelson then begins to brag about himself by saying, “You know what Jon, one of those years I won the Masters with two different drivers, you know different length shafts, different lengths. Maybe you should look into changing the CG and your driver in the swing way. Something you can draw easily.”
Rahm says Mickelson went on to elaborate about this for the next 30 minutes while looking into the eyes of Rahm with no hesitation. It only shows how much of a comical character Lefty is.
