John Daly is one of the most entertaining golfers on the Tour and fans love him for his personality. Daly recently won the 2021 PNC Championship with his son, John Daly II, beating Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie Woods.
Days after the tournament, Daly appeared in a Podcast as a guest in which he talked about his relationship with the former President of America, Donald Trump. He said, “I met him in 92, in Massachusetts.”

Explaining further about their meet, Daly said it was a Tour event. Also, he shared the interesting conversation the two had after the game. He revealed what Trump told him all the way back in 1992, “when we left that balcony… um… he says, ‘I will be President of the United States one day’.”

Daly has supported former President Donald Trump on several occasions; he even accompanied Trump in several presidential debates. In an interview after one such debate, Daly said, “He’s the president if 51 percent love him than he’s awesome which he is.”

Trump, in return, has been nothing but supportive of John, as well. He admires Daly’s golf skills and has been vocal about the same.
Most golf fans are familiar with Trump’s relationship with the sport already. He owns 17 golf courses worldwide. Trump’s organization recently shared a video of Daly on their Instagram page.

In the video, Daly holed the ball with just one hand; the moment was a part of the Trump Touring Pro event. After Daly put the ball with just one hand, we can see the fellow players and audience cheering for the legend.
Daly overpowered Tiger Woods at the PNC

Tiger Woods and his son hit 11 consecutive birdies and created a record; however, it was not enough to win over the Daly-duo. Daly and his son, John Daly II, scored 27 and under, which was the lowest in history.
The PNC Championship 2021 winner, Daly proved he is still one of the best golfers in the world, and won’t be beaten easily.

The father-son/daughter event recorded 2.3 million viewers, which is 200,000 more than that of the Open Championship. The PNC championship was special as it was Woods’ first appearance after surviving a car accident in February.
