John Daly is a well-known golfing entity for his off-course antiques. Since the start of his career, he has been in the headlines for everything except golf. However, he still won two major championships in his career. Daly won the 1991 PGA Championship after coming in as a replacement, and the Open Championship in 1995.
However, he has seen a lot of hard times in his career as a golfer. His off-course habits and unorthodox lifestyle have troubled him immensely. Whenever fans hear about John Daly, they spontaneously associate him with alcohol and smoking habits. He was notorious for having a very un-sportsman-type lifestyle. But people did not know the reality. They thought the police had arrested him. “The picture didn’t help,” said Daly. “People think I got arrested when I didn’t get arrested. It is what it is. I’ve got to deal with it and go on. Whatever reason the tour has, maybe positive will come out of this.”
However, the PGA Tour had already decided on the suspension and stuck with it. “Is it fair that I got suspended?” questioned Long John. “It’s not fair in reality, but it’s probably fair in perception,” believes Daly.
