John Daly shared a rare Seve Ballesteros tale with his fans
Daly is considered one of the most efficient players in the field of golf. Besides his incomparable skills in every tournament, the golfer is better identified for his non-country club looks. Moreover, his colorful pants have always been the talk of the town. Daly is also well-known for his witty sense of humor in his interviews and media appearances.

There was a time when ‘Long John’ was in an exclusive interview about his career during the 2015 Masters in Augusta. The golfer was talking about the time when he played a couple of practice rounds against Spanish professional, Seve Ballesteros. And he got everyone to crack up with something he shared about their conversation from the practice sessions.
“He always said if he had my driver, he says, ‘I win 40 majors if I had a driver like you’”, Daly recalled his conversation with Ballesteros. “And I always said if I could chip and putt like you with me hitting driver like that, I would’ve won 40 majors”. Daly also mentioned that he would hit his shots nearly “30 to 40 yards longer than Seve”. And that probably got the former world no. 1 thinking Daly had a better driver.
The golf legend also talked about how great Ballesteros was as a person and that he was always nice to him. “Always been very very nice to me…I wish our players here were that way”. Daly said about Ballesteros and other European golfers.

The time when Daly shocked everyone right after having a stroke
Apart from his humor, Daly is also known for how outrageous he can be on the field. The golf star has been in the news several times for his actions away from tournaments. However, he once allegedly suffered a stroke and the next thing he wanted was a “drink”. Daly has been friends with American professional Pat Perez for a very long time. The two often went partying together after tournaments. And there was a time when Perez invited his drinking buddy to his house. But things didn’t go as smoothly as they thought.

“He had a stroke at my house,” Perez said. “I couldn’t find him, I was looking for this mother****** for like 45 minutes.”. After finding him lying in a corner of his house, Perez called for an ambulance after Daly complained of having a stroke. The golfer took his friend to the emergency room, only to return six hours later to Daly asking for a drink! Yes, that’s right, a drink. “It was like 10:30 in the morning…He gets inside the car and goes ‘bubba, I need a f***ing drink.’” said Perez. Well, this is just a pinch of how eccentric Daly is when it comes to being unapologetically adventurous.
