Golf is considered to be a gentleman’s game, all sophisticated and chivalrous. But what happens when you enjoy yourself a little too much? You probably end up dancing, or swinging your clubs? or may be both! Donald Trump knows it. During the US Presidential Election, he showcased it.
At his rallies, Trump displayed his signature dance move, all while mimicking a golf swing. That comes sheerly out of the deep love he has for the game. But it turns out he is not alone in giving his audience a fun sight. You see, dancing is becoming a norm now, it seems.
The PNC Championship kickstarts on Saturday. And well, all the players and their teammates have already reached the Ritz Carlton Golf Club for the practice round. John Daly and his son John Daly II are also there. In 2021, they defeated Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods by two strokes. But ever since, they have been only in top five. Now, Daly Jr is all fixated on perfecting his swing so that after two long years, they can finally grab a victory.

In 2020, John Daly revealed that he had been battling bladder cancer. He underwent surgery to remove a tumor, though doctors warned that a relapse remained a possibility. Initially, Daly thought he was dealing with a kidney stone. However, after further tests, his urologist delivered the shocking news: it wasn’t kidney stones causing his back pain, but rather bladder cancer. But it was treatable.
He said, “The only positive is this cancer is treatable, but I’m probably looking at chemo for the next five to seven years.” He had to change his entire lifestyle after cancer, giving up on his favorite diet and other habits. Now, he seems to be doing a lot better. He was also seen celebrating the 30th birthday of a friend at the Trump National Golf Club in Florida where he sang his heart out on his favorite song, ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ by Guns N’ Roses with the Davisson Brothers Band.
Daly also shared a performance of “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by the late John Denver. He was once again accompanied by the same band, but the performance took an unexpected turn when one of his friends joined him on stage to sing the main verse, turning it into a heartfelt duet.
