Back in August, John Daly announced his homegrown country concert. A homegrown concert takes place at one’s own home, and this one was organized by the 55-year-old himself. However, according to his recent social media post, the concert had to be cancelled days before it was scheduled.

Tickets were made available on tix.com and every was set. Unfortunately, the whole thing was called off by Daly days before the event was actually scheduled. Of course, Daly shared an honest reason on Twitter, expressing disappointment over the result.

Why was John Daly’s homegrown country concert in Arkansas canceled?

According to Daly’s tweet, the Homegrown Concert was scheduled for October 2. He explained that they did not receive the support they needed to organize the event, which means they did not sell the number of tickets needed. Moreover, they did not sell tickets to host a full day, which was meant to be till midnight.

In the end, Daly added that while the whole thing is unfortunate, he hopes all fans who wanted to attend understand the situation.

HOMEGROWN COUNTRY CONCERT! Join us for some good ole homegrown music ALL DAY LONG that you won’t want to miss,” Daly wrote when he announced the concert. Daly’s tweet was informative, and shared every information about the event. The venue for the concert was Front Street Grill Main Stage in Dardanelle, Arkansas.

The concert would have started at 12 noon, gates opening at 11:00 AM.

Even though the lineup was full of recognized artists, the venue could be one reason why all tickets could not be booked. That being said, a $100 ticket would also contribute to Heart of a Lion.


Daly’s professional career began in 1987, and over the years the golfer impressed evryone with his incredible play. He has a total of five PGA Tour wins, out of which two were major events – PGA Championship 1991, the Open Championship 1995.
