Joe Biden accused Donald Trump of cheating on the course. The sitting POTUS during his speech at the NATO Summit in Washington, D.C., responded to Trump’s challenge for a charity match. A Biden vs. Trump face-off was always unlikely, despite netizens’ demands, and Bryson DeChambeau’s offer of hosting. Biden’s latest response appeared to confirm that.

The 81-year-old fired a salvo at the ex-President, saying, “My schedule has been full bore. Where has Trump been? Riding out his golf cart, filling out his scorecard before he hits the ball, I mean look, he [Donald Trump] has done virtually nothing.” This was in line with the statement Biden put out via his spokesperson earlier.

The statement read, “Joe Biden doesn’t have time for Donald Trump’s weird antics – he’s busy leading America and defending the free world.” It came out to a fiery challenge from Trump calling for a re-debate and an 18-hole match on his ‘Blue Monster’ at Florida. Donald Trump, whose team offered Biden to ‘redeem himself’ by agreeing to a second debate next week. Notably, they are already scheduled for the next official debate on September 10.

Trump then taunted that he would give a 20-stroke advantage in the golf match. Moreover, if Biden won, the ex-President promised to offer $1 million to any charity of his choice. The 78-year-old said, “I’m also officially challenging Crooked Joe to an 18-hole golf match right here. On Doral’s Blue Monster considered one of the greatest tournament golf courses anywhere in the world. It will be among the most-watched sporting events in history.”

The golf debate started during the first Presidential debate on June 27. Donald Trump, in defense of his competency, claimed he won two club championships that required him to be ‘quite smart.’ That started a fiery back and forth, which soon segued to a handicap debate. Bryson DeChambeau noticing all that, came up with an interesting proposal with the Internet’s approval.

Joe Biden claimed to have improved his handicap to six while he was Vice President. He conceded that might have gone down to eight now. However, Trump refused to believe that, dubbing it the ‘biggest lie’. The uproarious bickering sent golf Twitter into a frenzy, with many clamoring for an actual face-off  a la Captial One’s ‘The Match.’

Bryson DeChambeau, the newly minted U.S. Open Champion, and a close friend of the Trump family, tweeted, “Let’s settle this whole handicap debate, I’ll host the golf match on my YouTube,” tagging both Biden and Trump. The Crushers GC captain runs a YouTube channel with 822K subscribers; his videos have been viewed 97.72M= million times. However, neither Donald Trump nor Joe Biden responded to this. And, from Biden’s response, it appears a golf match is the last thing on his mind now.
