Joaquin Niemann is a Ping guy. One cursory glance at this golf bag will confirm that. The hotshot Chilean golfer, who was the No. 1 amateur golfer for 44 weeks, signed an endorsement deal with Ping before turning pro in 2018. It?s been five years, and much has changed in his life since the early days, but Niemann hasn?t felt the need to change his gear.

Currently, playing at the 2023 Fortinet Australian PGA Championship on a National Spot, Niemann?s bag looks almost the same as it did in his PGAT debut at the 2018 Valero Texas Open. What are the gears he is carrying with him now? Let?s peek inside his Ping golf bag.

Niemann prefers the Ping G140 LST driver, which comes at a price of US $449 at GlobalGolf. The two-time PGA Tour winner uses a Graphite Design Tour AD DI-6 Shaft along with this. The Chillean golfer is ranked sixth in terms of driving distance at LIV Golf. Notably, his 412-yard drive in the 2021-22 session at the PGA Tour was the third-best of that year.

Currently, his driving average is 314.1 yards, just eight short of list-topper Peter Ulhein. Interestingly, as per the PGA Tour?s official website, Niemann?s average driving distance was 314 yards before he left for the Saudi-funded league. His current average will still put him in the tenth spot on the PGA Tour, jointly with Matti Schmid.

The Torque GC captain?s preferred fairway woods are Ping G425 Max with graphite Design Tour AD DI 8X Shafts. The G425 comes at a price of $339 at Global Golf, while the shaft is worth $379. Niemann averages 72.22% GIR, which keeps him in the sixth spot at LIV Golf along with Brooks Koepka and Sergio Garcia. Above 70% GIR is also an improvement from the 62.50% that he netted during his stint on the PGA Tour.

On the irons, Niemann uses a Ping iBlade for four to nine irons with Project X 6.0 shafts. At the time of its release, the iBlade?s price started at US $162.50. On the other hand, the shaft comes at a price of US $332.

On the wedges, Niemann has four preferences. First, there is the Ping Glide 3.0 (46 degrees) that he uses with a Project X 6.0 shaft. Glide 3.0 comes in at $169.99. The Chilean International picks Glide Forged Pro for 52, 56, and 60-degree wedges. The Forged Pro?s price starts at $199.99.

The last club on his list is the Ping PLD Anser Putter. Clearly, the 2022 Genesis Invitational winner prefers tradition over fancy designs. The putter is worth $449. But Niemann veers from Ping to Titleist while choosing his preferred golf ball. The 25-year-old pro uses Titleist Pro V1x, which comes in at $49.99.
